A 29-year-old man from Manresa faces a six-year prison sentence requested by the Prosecution, accused of continuous sexual assault and sexual provocation against his minor stepsister between 2017 and 2020.

The trial against the accused will be held in the third section of the Audiència de Barcelona next Thursday. The Prosecution is seeking five years in prison for the continuous sexual assault of a minor under sixteen and an additional year for the continuous sexual provocation offense.
According to the prosecution's indictment, the events occurred between 2017 and 2020, when the victim, the daughter of the accused's father's partner, was 7 years old. The accused, who was 20 years old at the time, allegedly touched the minor under her clothes about 15 times, making her believe it was a game.
In addition to the touching, the accused allegedly showed the minor pornographic videos, featuring both real actors and cartoons, suggesting they should replicate the actions. When the minor threatened to tell her parents, the accused responded that no one would believe her because he was the adult.

These events have caused psychological damage to the minor, manifesting as negative emotional states channeled through disruptive behavior, attention deficit, and aggression.

The Prosecution emphasizes that these facts have caused psychological harm to the minor. Besides the prison sentence, they are requesting six years of prohibition from approaching the victim (within a 500-meter radius) and disqualification from professions involving contact with minors for 3 years.
