The Prosecutor's Office requested on Wednesday the dismissal of the case involving former councillor Aniol Vila and current councillor Rubèn López from the CUP party in Santpedor.

The trial in Manresa was suspended due to the absence of the Local Police officer who filed the complaint. However, the prosecutor stated that after reviewing video evidence, the events from last February do not constitute a crime and suggested only potential administrative sanctions.
Around forty supporters gathered outside the court to back the politicians. The case stems from a municipal meeting where Vila was arrested by Mossos d'Esquadra officers following a dispute over public access to the town hall gallery.
