Train services on the RL4 line of Rodalies have been suspended between Calaf and Manresa due to an electrification system failure, caused by rain and a roof collapse onto the overhead lines.

The RL4 line of Rodalies has once again suffered significant disruptions. Services were cut for hours between the stations of Calaf and Manresa from early morning, around 6:30 AM. This interruption was due to a failure in the electrification system, exacerbated by adverse weather conditions and rain affecting various parts of Catalonia.
Sources from Adif explained that the cause of the breakdown was a house roof falling onto the catenary at a point between Calaf and Manresa. As a result of the closure, an alternative bus service was implemented to connect both stations and ensure the mobility of affected passengers.
This incident particularly affected trains running between Manresa and Lleida-Pirineus, on the same RL4 line. It is worth noting that this is the third consecutive day with reported problems on this railway line.
Last Tuesday, services were already interrupted for seven hours due to an infrastructure issue between Bell-lloc d’Urgell and Cervera, related to signaling. On Wednesday, another failure in the catenary's power supply caused further disruptions. Additionally, a similar problem near Juneda station led to the suspension of lines R13 and R14 between Lleida and Les Borges.
