Rodalies trains are not running this Thursday morning, according to sources from Renfe, which attribute the delay in service startup to “operational causes.” This follows the fatal accident in Gelida and the subsequent demand for written safety guarantees from the Semaf drivers' union.
To mitigate the impact on mobility for users in the Bages region, shuttle buses have been activated from the Renfe Manresa station to Terrassa, where users can continue their journey to Barcelona using the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) services.
“"The operator is the one who must resolve the issues related to the labor framework."
Furthermore, the Govern announced contingency measures, such as increasing FGC frequencies, keeping tolls lifted on the Garraf highway, and temporarily suspending the Low Emission Zones (ZBE) in the Barcelona metropolitan area until Friday.
