The town of Sant Joan de Vilatorrada is hosting the pilot test for EcoCarrer, a mobile application aimed at digitizing urban vegetation and connecting citizens through nature.

Developed by Joel Martín, the app allows residents to register their home plants and local green spots. This data helps calculate CO2 reduction and creates a digital inventory of the town's biodiversity, encouraging people to explore green routes instead of traditional urban paths.

"Cities need roots, and we build them together."

The Sant Joan de Vilatorrada Council, represented by councilor Toni Dorado, supports the project as a tool for environmental education and climate resilience. The app highlights unique local spots like Torrent Fondo, promoting a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle for the community.
