Santpedor hosts the 28th edition of the School Cross Country Race

The sporting event will feature 17 races for participants between 4 and 16 years old, in addition to 2 and 5 kilometer popular runs.

More than a thousand children from the entire Bages region will participate this Sunday in the 28th School Cross Country Race, which will be held starting at 9:15 AM in the Serreta area of Santpedor.

The event, which will start at 9:15 AM, is open to participants born between 2010 and 2022. The program includes a total of 17 races, distributed across various age categories, aiming to promote grassroots sports in the Bages region.
As a highlight, the popular 5,000-meter race is consolidated, aimed specifically at people over 16 years old. Additionally, a popular 2,000-meter race will be offered, open to participants of any category who wish to join the sporting day in Santpedor.
Cadet and infant category races, both male and female, will be held with differentiated schedules and classifications. Mini categories will run together if participant volume allows and safety is guaranteed.
The organization of the School Cross Country Race falls to the Santpedor City Council and the Bages Sports Council, supported by local educational centers, AFAs, the Penya Blaugrana, and the Catalan Sports Council.
