The band from Artés, SDP509, one of the most prominent young groups in Central Catalonia, resumes activity after a temporary hiatus with the single Són coses de la vida. The track, available since Tuesday, February 10, is a "springtime, energetic, and vital rumba" that discusses love and a story "of farewell, growth, and reconciliation with the past."
The instrumentation of the piece, featuring guitar and trumpet, encourages dancing and a festive attitude, even though the lyrics focus on letting go of burdens and embracing life with joy. The members of SDP509 include Pau Crusellas, Joan Altimira, and Josep Forcada (vocals), Sergi Padilla (guitar), Joan Candàliga (trumpet), and Marc Riera (producer alongside Forcada).
Separately, the singer from Prats de Lluçanès, Mar Pujol, lends her voice to the second single from the new album by Osona-based artist Guillem Roma. The song, titled Escoltar-nos de prop, is also available from this Tuesday and encapsulates an intimate and dreamy spirit with enveloping atmospheres and electronic sounds.
“"In a world where everyone speaks, where there is noise everywhere, news, virtuality, egos, ... listening, observing, and feeling becomes a revolution."
Roma explained that the collaboration with the artist from Lluçanès arose from a musical connection found in a common place within their universes. Guillem Roma's new album will premiere live on March 28 at the Festival Strenes in Girona and on April 16 at the Festival Empremtes at the Razzmatazz venue in Barcelona.
