Families in Manresa and the Bages region are facing waiting lists of at least six months for learning disorder assessments, a delay that significantly hinders students' academic progress.

The specialized unit at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital is currently booking appointments for September. Public resources, including EAP and CSMIJ centers, are saturated, forcing parents to pay around 500 euros for private consultations to ensure early intervention.
Experts note that while the prevalence of conditions like dyslexia or dyscalculia remains stable at 5-10%, awareness has increased. The Faros 2024 report links 13% of school failure to unaddressed learning difficulties.

"Learning difficulties must be understood as a multifactorial phenomenon."
