The Fonollosa and Rajadell Wild Boar Hunting Group carried out a special operation on the outskirts of Manresa, resulting in 28 specimens culled to safeguard local agriculture.

The operation focused on the area between El Xup and Sol i Aire neighborhoods, following a formal request from the Suanya Residents and Owners Association. Local farmers reported groups of up to forty boars destroying newly sown fields and stone walls.

"Wild boar numbers are decreasing where hunting takes place, but they accumulate in areas where hunting is restricted."

Authorized by the Generalitat de Catalunya and Manresa City Council, the hunt required closing several rural roads. The 28 animals, mostly females, were collected by a public company for meat distribution after undergoing strict health inspections.
