Security forces have arrested ten individuals in Central Catalonia for alleged jihadist terrorism since 2012, according to the latest report released by the Ministry of the Interior.

The city of Manresa recorded two arrests in 2016 involving the spread of Daesh ideology online. Other significant operations took place in Solsona and Martorell as recently as November 2023, targeting individuals using social media platforms like TikTok to incite violence.
Catalonia remains the primary focus of anti-terrorist efforts in Spain. Barcelona province leads with 159 detainees, followed by Madrid with 110. In total, 214 people have been taken into custody across the Catalan territory in 131 different operations over the last thirteen years.
