Trial legend Toni Bou is set to compete this Friday in Chalon-sur-Saône, France, where he could mathematically secure his 39th overall world title and 20th in the X-Trial category.

The rider from Piera currently holds a 42-point lead over teammate Gabriel Marcelli. With only 60 points remaining in the season, Bou will be crowned champion if he finishes ahead of Marcelli or if Jaime Busto fails to gain seven points on him during the French round.

"I am very proud of how we have worked despite the injury. Physically I feel much better now."

The event will take place at Le Colisée arena. Bou has dominated the current season, winning six out of seven races. If he clinches the title this weekend, the final round in Lisbon on April 12 will serve as a celebration for the most successful rider in history.
