Around 4,000 people took part this Sunday, March 15th, in the 42nd edition of the Transéquia, the historic hike connecting Balsareny and Manresa along the Séquia canal.

The event, organized by the Fundació Aigües de Manresa – Junta de la Séquia, enjoyed favorable weather despite some gusts of wind. Participants chose from various routes starting in Balsareny (24 km), Sallent (18 km), or Santpedor (10 km), all finishing at Parc de l'Agulla.

"Except for the wind, it is a spectacular day."

In addition to hiking, the day featured cycling routes, a 25-kilometer running challenge, and handbike options. Logistics were managed by Gesport, ensuring the smooth operation of one of the most traditional events in the Bages region.
On the social side, the solidarity euro from each registration was donated to the Comunitats que curen project. This initiative, led by the Caminant Plegats en el Dol collective, aims to combat unwanted loneliness and promote social inclusion for vulnerable groups.
