The Manresa native Xevi Pujol has achieved his first major success as Baskonia's technical secretary by winning the Copa del Rey this February in Valencia, defeating Real Madrid in the final.

Eight months after leaving Baxi Manresa, Xevi Pujol has consolidated his role at the Fernando Buesa Arena. He joined a management team alongside veteran Alfredo Salazar and sporting director Félix Fernández, working under the leadership of president Josean Querejeta.

"At Baskonia, Alfredo Salazar has been the technical secretary for thirty years. The president decided to make a change, but only halfway, hiring Pujol to work alongside him."

Pujol's key decision was hiring coach Paolo Galbiati. Despite early struggles in the EuroLeague and injuries to stars like Trent Forrest, the team's victory in the Copa del Rey marks a turning point for the club's sporting project.
