The Government of the Generalitat will formalize its adherence to this year's Autonomic Liquidity Fund (FLA) through an agreement at the Executive Council meeting this Wednesday.

The formalization comes after the Ministry of Finance approved the Generalitat's request at the end of last month. However, the exact amount of money the Government will request from the fund has not yet been officially disclosed.
Last year, the Government requested a total of 8,479 million euros from the FLA. Furthermore, the Generalitat resorted to private banks for the first time in years to refinance 3,500 million of the FLA debt.

"The amount to be requested is neither determined nor closed."

This refinancing operation with private entities will allow the Catalan administration to save nearly 130 million euros in interest until the year 2035.
Paneque added that the private financing markets they plan to access have not been defined either, and that so far, only studies have been carried out regarding the approximate needs they might have during the current fiscal year.
