Vall de Núria, located in the Catalan Pyrenees, is hosting an extensive program of free family activities throughout December, highlighting the magic of snow and Christmas traditions.

The Catalan Pyrenees are established as a key destination for experiencing the Christmas holidays, combining the appeal of snowy landscapes with a range of unique experiences beyond winter sports. The Vall de Núria resort, situated in Ripollès (Girona), has prepared a special calendar designed for both adults and children.
The events kick off on Friday, December 20, with two major activities. At 4:00 PM, the traditional 'Gran cagada del tió' (Tió log pooping) will take place in front of the Santuari de Núria, a free activity that includes hot chocolate for all participants. Later, at 7:00 PM, the Basílica will host a free Candlelight concert featuring Pep Poblet and Joan Garrobé, promising an intimate and moving experience.
On December 23, the resort organizes the 'Taller de tions' (Tió Workshop) at 4:00 PM, where children will search for small wooden logs to take home. This activity has a unique focus, as the 'tions' are transformed into carriers of wishes instead of material gifts. The meeting point will be the Núria shop.
Finally, on December 27, the offerings diversify with two proposals. From 4:15 PM to 5:45 PM, families can enjoy an introductory snowshoeing excursion around the Mirador del Llac, the new panoramic observatory. That same evening, at 7:00 PM, the Parc Astronòmic del Montsec will offer a free nocturnal experience for observing stars and planets with a telescope, meeting at the hotel reception.
