This measure, approved in the municipal plenary session this October, aims to clearly differentiate the two facilities and avoid confusion once the new pavilion is operational next year. Until now, the current municipal sports pavilion, inaugurated in 1989, did not have a specific designation.
The naming proposal was previously discussed and debated in the Municipal Naming Commission. With this decision, the municipality will have the Pavilion of 1989 and the new Pavilion of 2027, thus facilitating the identification and management of the sports facilities.
