Guardiola's Corriols reaches its fifteenth edition this year, consolidating itself as a prominent sporting event at both municipal and regional levels. More than 800 runners are expected to participate.
The event, taking place on Sunday, October 18th, in Sant Salvador de Guardiola, will serve to recognize the efforts of those who initiated the race. The generational handover is noteworthy, with children of the original founders now participating, keeping the initial spirit alive and passing on this passion to new generations. Corriols thus becomes a shared project that builds connections and strengthens community spirit.
To mark the fifteenth anniversary, a documentary has been released that reviews the event's history, highlighting the people, experiences, and collective effort that have made its growth possible.
The race maintains its three categories of 20, 10, and 5 kilometers, winding through the municipality's natural surroundings. Younger participants can join the Corriolets, children's races adapted for different age groups.
Corriols champions a responsible, healthy, sustainable, inclusive, and supportive sports model, promoting measures to reduce environmental impact such as the use of reusable markers and cups, and encouraging sustainable mobility.
The Sant Salvador de Guardiola Town Council expresses gratitude for the involvement of the organization, volunteers, collaborating entities, and participants who have made these fifteen years of history possible.
