The works, which lasted three months, focused on the section of Bisbe Perelló street between Parc de Sant Joan and Passeig de la Pau. This project was made possible thanks to a 264,000 euro subsidy granted by the Diputació de Barcelona (Barcelona Provincial Council).
The main objective of the work was the comprehensive renovation of the pavement, especially in a section of Passeig de la Pau that was severely deteriorated. Furthermore, the opportunity was taken to improve the channeling of various underground services.
One of the key aspects of the refurbishment was the widening of the sidewalks to adapt them to current accessibility regulations. This improvement directly enhances road safety and pedestrian mobility for the residents of Sant Vicenç de Castellet.
The council confirmed that the Street Plan will continue with the improvement of the pavement on other municipal roads. The next planned action is the repair of Maria Gimferrer street, scheduled for the first months of 2026.
