Fences and construction material are deployed in three areas of the road, starting past the Museu de l'Aigua i el Tèxtil (Water and Textile Museum) towards Plaça Mallorca. The first incident was located at the corner with Carrer Balmes, where a large leak caused flooding, cracks in the asphalt, and completely lifted the sidewalk.
This first leak was so severe that water entered basements and garages, requiring the intervention of the Bombers de la Generalitat (Firefighters) to pump water from an underground area. Furthermore, subscribers between numbers 1 and 69 of the Santpedor Road were left without supply for a period. The other two leaks occurred the following day, complicating the situation.
The disrupted route continues in front of the Sant Pere Apòstol church, where another supply cut occurred, affecting residents of several adjacent streets, including Menorca, Font, Trueta, and Llibertat.
Due to the ongoing work, the utility company Aigües de Manresa has implemented a traffic change. The section of the Santpedor Road between Doctor Trueta and Menorca now operates with a single direction of circulation towards Plaça Bonavista.
Vehicles traveling on the Santpedor Road towards Plaça La Creu are being diverted through Carrer Menorca and Carrer Doctor Trueta to rejoin the main road. Additionally, parking has been prohibited in several sections of these streets to ensure vehicle passage.
