The 43-kilometer solidarity swim between Torredembarra and Cambrils, organized by Swim for ELA and Triple A, will take place on October 30th to raise awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The sporting event will begin at 7 am at the Omega monument in Torredembarra and will conclude at the Escales Reials in Cambrils around 6 pm. This initiative aims to mobilize society in the fight against this neurodegenerative disease.
In addition to the swimming challenge, a solidarity chestnut sale will be held to broaden public participation in the cause. The initiative is supported by Sealand, the Diari de Tarragona, the city councils of Cambrils and Torredembarra, and FCC Fomento.
Swim for ELA uses open-water swimming as a tool for awareness and fundraising. The project has previously organized other events, such as the fifth edition of the Swim for ELA Traverse on May 23rd, which gathered 350 swimmers and raised 102,599 euros.
This activity is complemented by the Swim for ELA Solidarity Dinner, which will be held on November 7th at the restaurant Mas Gallau in Cambrils, to recognize the involvement of the solidarity community.
The main objective is to transform the participants' effort into hope, awareness, and support for research and improved prospects for individuals affected by ALS.
