The local political party Ara Reus has officially removed the two-term limit for its candidates, potentially allowing Daniel Rubio to lead the electoral list for a third time.

During a recent meeting to renew the local executive and approve the 2026 budget, the party modified its statutes. Previously, candidates were restricted to two terms, but the new regulations grant more flexibility for future elections in Reus.

"Regardless of whether it is left or right, what people want is for you to solve their day-to-day problems."

Joan Carles Filella · President of Ara Reus
The party currently manages Public Safety and Environment departments within the local government. Their main focus remains on urban cleaning, housing availability, and adapting public services to the city's demographic growth. They are also part of the broader Ara Catalunya network, which holds 190 council seats across the region.
