The Archbishop of Tarragona, Joan Planellas, visited the Puríssima Sang de Reus congregation this Sunday to call for reconciliation and ask for forgiveness following recent internal conflicts.

This March 22nd marked a turning point in the crisis that has affected the Reus institution. After weeks of uncertainty and tension with the Archdiocese, the temple doors opened for the prelate in a pastoral visit aimed at restoring institutional and religious normality ahead of Holy Week.
Currently, La Sang de Reus is in a transition phase. Without a fully constituted board, management is being handled by Bernat Marsal and other lay members. The immediate goal is to maintain liturgical continuity while working on new statutes following Vatican guidelines.

"Forgiveness must be asked for all those times we have not brought peace and reconciliation to our environments."

During his homily, Planellas acknowledged the distress caused to the faithful by recent disagreements. Although some issues remain, the Sunday mass and the Holy Christ of La Sang procession signal a return to regular pastoral activity.
