The food corporation BonÀrea has initiated the procedures to obtain the environmental license to build a new service station in Reus. The facility, located at number 1 Igualtat street, in the Granja Vila industrial park, north of the city, will go beyond a conventional gas station and will include a supermarket, a self-service laundry, and a vehicle wash center.
The project covers a plot of 9,255.74 square meters. In addition to fuel supply, the complex will feature a 468.6 square meter supermarket, 12 manual wash bays, eight vacuum cleaners, and charging points for electric vehicles. The upper floor of the building will be designated for the facility's attendant.
The service station will have four multiproduct dispensers and two additional points for diesel and AdBlue. To ensure supply, four underground tanks with a total capacity of 240,000 liters will be installed for diesel A, 95 unleaded gasoline, and AdBlue. The design includes two entrances and two exits to streamline traffic flow.
The facilities will incorporate vapor recovery systems, hydrocarbon separators for wastewater treatment, and measures to reduce noise and light emissions. The vehicle wash center will be able to operate 24 hours a day, complying with legal noise limits for industrial zones.
The technical report does not set an execution timeline, as construction will commence once the relevant licenses are obtained. The budget for the environmental license is 676,365 euros, although the overall investment is expected to be higher.
This opening reinforces BonÀrea's presence in Reus, where it already has an Esclat hypermarket in Tecnoparc and plans a second center on the Falset road. With this new complex in the Granja Vila industrial park, the company will have a presence in the south, west, and north of the capital of Baix Camp.
