The fire started around 12:16 PM in a forest area near Mexico street in the El Casalot urbanization. As a precautionary measure, residents of this urbanization have been asked to shelter in place, and train lines have been cut.
A total of 12 ground crews and 5 aerial units have been deployed to try and control the flames. Emergency teams are prioritizing the left flank, considered the main driver of the fire.
The fire has reached the train tracks, although it has not crossed them. Efforts are currently focused on containing the spread of the flames.
