The Centre d'Amics de Reus (CAR) has opened the call for entries for the 24th edition of the Francesc Martí Queixalós Catalan Poetry Prize, a competition honoring the memory of the Reus poet and promoting creation in the Catalan language.

This award, already consolidated in the cultural and literary landscape of the region, accepts original and unpublished poems or collections of poems. Works must be on a free theme, written entirely in Catalan, and have a maximum length of 100 verses. It is an essential requirement that submissions are of original authorship and have not been generated using artificial intelligence tools.
The winner of the prize will receive an economic endowment of 600 euros, in addition to an accrediting diploma. The winning work will also be published in the magazine Lo Nunci, edited by the CAR itself.
The deadline for submitting works will be October 20 of this year. The award ceremony will take place in a public session organized between the second half of November and the first half of December.
