The Cambrils City Council has approved a project to establish a new temporary park-and-ride facility with 328 spaces on the Montbrió road starting this March 2026.

The project involves an 11,215-square-meter plot located between the T-312 road and Francesc Moragues i Barret street. This new area will expand the existing parking capacity of the les Comes 1 lot, which currently offers 220 spaces nearby.
The conditioning works have a maximum budget of 204,364.35 euros and are expected to be completed within five weeks. Improvements include land clearing, sand paving, and the installation of solar-powered street lights to ensure sustainability and safety.
This move is part of the local government's strategy to decongest the town center and manage the high volume of vehicles during the peak tourist season in Cambrils, following similar successful initiatives in the Fontcoberta area.
