The Costa Daurada Greenway Platform held a protest walk on Saturday, gathering nearly fifty participants between Miami Platja and the Riudecanyes stream, to demand the project's acceleration.

The collective has once again highlighted the strong social support for the initiative and has urged the involved municipalities and Adif to expedite all pending procedures. The platform considers it crucial to unblock the funding situation, which has been affected by the loss of initially planned European funds.

"We will continue with the mobilizations until the project ceases to be a promise and becomes an effective reality."

Participants in the mobilization have also called for the establishment of a clear, rapid, and public timeline that can provide guarantees to citizens regarding the infrastructure's execution. In this regard, they have demanded the immediate signing of lease agreements between the local councils and Adif, a step they consider fundamental for the project's progress.
The platform has emphasized that this is a historical demand of the territory and has argued that the greenway would bring environmental, social, sports, and tourism benefits to the entire Costa Daurada. Furthermore, reference has been made to an email campaign launched by the collective, which is receiving numerous messages addressed to the municipalities and Adif to request the immediate start of works.
