Ten injured, two critical, in multiple collision on AP-7 between Vandellòs and L'Hospitalet de l'Infant

Eight vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, and a truck, were involved in the serious incident that occurred at kilometer 279 of the highway.

A multiple collision involving eight vehicles on the AP-7 motorway, near Vandellòs and L’Hospitalet de l’Infant, left ten people injured on the evening of December 18, 2025.

The accident took place at 8:25 PM (20:25) at kilometer 279 of the AP-7, southbound, as reported by the Catalan Traffic Service (Servei Català de Trànsit). Authorities are investigating the exact causes of the crash, which involved eight vehicles, including several cars, motorcycles, and a truck.
Of the ten total casualties, two are in critical condition and one is seriously injured. The three most severely affected individuals were urgently transferred by ambulance to the Joan XXIII Hospital in Tarragona.

The accident forced the closure of the southbound motorway for several hours, diverting traffic onto the A-7 near Cambrils.

To manage the emergency, several units of the regional police, the Mossos d’Esquadra, and the Medical Emergency System (SEM) were deployed. The remaining seven injured people were treated and discharged at the scene.
