The Mossos d'Esquadra and the Reus Urban Guard have arrested two individuals for their alleged involvement in eight high-end bicycle theft crimes committed in various Catalan towns.

The police operation was triggered after a cyclist alerted a patrol in Reus about an attempted theft. This collaboration allowed officers to coordinate and arrest the suspects, a man and a woman, while also investigating a third person linked to the criminal scheme.
According to police data, the group operated with an organized structure and high mobility. Their modus operandi involved gaining the victims' trust by posing as cyclists during routes, then taking advantage of any distraction to steal the bicycle, which was subsequently moved to a vehicle where other accomplices were waiting.
The investigation, which began on May 27, has linked the detainees to thefts in municipalities such as Castelldefels, Barcelona, Vinyols i els Arcs, Mataró, Premià de Mar, and el Masnou. The total value of the stolen bicycles exceeds 50,000 euros.
