The Cambrils entity, Associació Cultural de Dones L'Alba, received an official recognition from the Generalitat de Catalunya yesterday for its 25 years of dedication. The event, presided over by the Minister of Equality and Feminism, Eva Menor Cantador, took place at the headquarters of the Societat General d’Autors i Editors (SGAE) in Barcelona. In total, 14 Catalan entities were honored for their long-standing contributions.
The president of the Institut Català de les Dones, Sònia Guerra López, inaugurated the event, which was hosted by broadcaster Judit Pastor Costa. The day began with a round table where four representatives from Catalan entities shared their experiences over the past quarter-century of work.
The speakers included Montse Gasch Echeverria (Association of Women in Rural Areas Cerdà), Francisca Garcia Moreno (Association for the Promotion of Women in La Mina Neighborhood - Adrianas), Sònia Vallverdú Aloy (L'Argila Women's Association), and Ana Maria Luna Romero (La Trobada Women's Association of La Pobla de Massaluca). Following their presentations, commemorative plaques were awarded.
The L'Alba Association, based at the Centre Cultural Municipal in Cambrils, is part of the local Women's Council and actively collaborates with the City Council's Equality Department. For 25 years, it has organized cultural and sports activities to support women in the municipality.
