L'Hospitalet de l'Infant will host this Sunday, October 4th, the fourth of the six rounds of the Catalan Pumptrack and Mini Pumptrack League, organized by the Catalan Cycling Federation.

This is the first time the municipality is organizing a competition of this nature. The event will take place at the pumptrack on Antoni Tàpies street, in the Corralets area, and will gather around eighty participants from all categories, from pre-beginners to masters. A high competitive level is expected with the presence of several Catalan champions.
Pumptrack involves completing a circuit with berms and jumps in the shortest possible time. During the event, referees from the Catalan Cycling Federation will install sensors to accurately record participants' times. A unique feature is the 'hot seat,' where the rider with the provisional best time occupies a prominent spot until another participant surpasses their mark.
The day will begin at 9 am with practice sessions. At 10 am, before the official races, local non-federated children and young people will have the opportunity to ride the circuit. Following this, the races for the junior categories will commence, with two timed runs for each participant.
The awards ceremony for the junior categories is scheduled for 11:15 am. Subsequently, the competition will resume with two timed runs for the senior categories, from junior to elite and master. The event will conclude with another awards ceremony at 1:30 pm.
All participants in the pre-beginner and beginner categories will receive a medal, while in the other categories, medals will be awarded to the top three finishers. Several prize draws will also be held among the participants.

"Hosting a round of the Catalan Pumptrack League is an opportunity to continue raising the profile of this sport and, at the same time, highlight our municipality's sports facilities. We invite everyone to come and enjoy a sporting day that will bring together participants of all ages and some of Catalonia's best specialists."
