For three days, from September 4th to 6th, the event saw a high turnout, confirming its status as one of the municipality's main festive events and a significant tourist attraction. The 30th-anniversary celebration featured a special program including a hundred stalls, thirty activities, street performances, parades, traditional craft demonstrations, and family-friendly options, alongside evening events.
The Councilor for Commerce, Sílvia Pujol, highlighted the "very positive" assessment of the edition, pointing to the large attendance and extraordinary atmosphere as signs of satisfaction in reaching the 30-year milestone. Pujol emphasized that the Medieval Market "is much more than a market," as it involves local businesses, entities, and residents, generates economic activity, and introduces the municipality to new visitors.
One of the notable novelties of this commemorative edition was the 'Nit de Bruixes' (Night of Witches), which drew crowds to Plaça del Pou with themed ambiance, workshops, and activities related to witchcraft. The fire show "Dränia" by the company Drakonia was also a highlight, filling Plaça Berenguer d'Entença on Saturday night, fulfilling the goal of offering activities for the entire day and night.
The medieval dinner, held on Saturday night in Plaça Berenguer d'Entença, was another major event, with approximately 300 participants enjoying an evening themed around the medieval era. This year, the dinner was supported for the first time by the Festival Commission of L'Hospitalet de l'Infant.
Local businesses played a prominent role with nearly 100 stalls, 20 of which were from the municipality. The City Council reinforced this connection with a specific promotional campaign linked to the 'Nit de Bruixes', aiming for the visitor influx to positively impact local establishments. The councilor stressed the objective that visitors "discover and patronize the shops, bars, and restaurants" of the municipality.
With this 30th edition, the Medieval Market reaffirms its role as a flagship event in L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, combining commercial revitalization, culture, leisure, and citizen participation. The event is organized by the Ajuntament de Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant, with support from the Diputació de Tarragona and its Tourism Board, under the Costa Daurada brand.
