Between September 7th and September 16th, residents of Rubí have the opportunity to verify the accuracy of their data in the electoral census at the Citizen Attention Office (OAC). This prior consultation is a necessary step before the draw scheduled for September 17th.
The draw, which will take place at the headquarters of the Provincial Court of Barcelona, will select 8,000 candidates for the popular jury from across the province. This process is part of Organic Law 5/1995 of the Jury Court and is carried out during the last 15 days of even-numbered years.
Selected individuals will form a provisional list valid for two years. Serving as a popular juror is a civic duty and includes the right to remuneration and compensation, as well as the corresponding work leave.
The Jury Court represents the direct participation of citizens in the Administration of Justice. To be a juror, one must be of legal age, hold Spanish nationality, be in full exercise of political rights, be able to read and write, be a resident of the province, and not have any disability that prevents performing the function.
