Early this afternoon, a forest fire ignited on the path connecting Sant Ponç and l'Ordal, within the municipality of Cervelló. The extinguishing efforts involved ADF groups from Corbera, Molins, Cervelló, Torrelles, and Sant Vicenç dels Horts, along with five units from the Generalitat Firefighters.
Volunteers from the Corbera ADF were the first to arrive at the scene and worked diligently to contain the flames and prevent their spread. The Corbera de Llobregat Town Council has expressed gratitude for the swift and effective intervention of all ADF groups and the Firefighters, which successfully prevented the fire from escalating.
The causes of the fire are currently under investigation. This incident underscores the critical need to exercise extreme caution due to the high risk of forest fires, particularly during warm months like September. A call for maximum prudence is made, urging everyone to avoid any actions that could spark a fire.
Should any sign of smoke or fire be detected, immediate notification to 112 is requested, as rapid detection and response are vital to prevent small fires from becoming large-scale incidents.
