The basic and executive project, initially approved by the Reus City Council, sets a base tender budget of 608,791.03 euros (excluding VAT) for the improvement of these key sports facilities in the Baix Camp region.
This investment, included in the municipal plan for 2026, will be 50% financed by grants from the Generalitat de Catalunya aimed at modernizing sports equipment. The works are expected to last eight weeks and are scheduled to take place during the summer.
“"this action will improve the conditions for sports practice, especially grassroots sports, and extend the useful life of facilities that are key for clubs, entities, and all citizens."
The renewal is essential due to the high level of use of the municipal multi-sport fields, which host disciplines such as football, rugby, and American football, causing constant wear and tear on the turf.
