The Generalitat de Catalunya has incorporated into the 2026 Budget the legal obligation to fund the construction of the new Molinet sports pavilion in Reus with up to 2 million euros.

The mandate, included in additional provision 26 of the law, turns the project into a legal duty for the Government. Although the item does not yet appear in the detailed annexes, the regulations require the necessary resources to be made available for this sports infrastructure.
The project will be financed through an additional fund for the improvement of public policies, endowed with 360 million euros. The Department of Economy is authorized to transfer the funds required for the execution of the work, the final amount of which will be determined shortly.
The future double pavilion will be located in the Mas Iglésias area, next to the Roseta Mauri Institute. The site, which will occupy a 3,204 square meter plot, aims to meet both the sports needs of the public and the activities of the educational community.
