The Staff Board and the Works Council of Cambrils City Council, along with union sections, have called a new strike for June 5, 2026, due to the alleged non-compliance with agreements by the municipal government.

This decision was made at an extraordinary meeting held on May 8, after confirming that the commitments made by the local administration, which led to the cancellation of a previous strike in December 2025, remain unfulfilled. The strike will affect personnel of Cambrils City Council and its Boards and Autonomous Bodies, with the exception of members of the Local Police, whose right to strike is limited by their legal and statutory nature.

Additionally, a specific sectoral assembly for the Local Police has been called for the same day at 14:00. Concurrently, it has been decided to initiate a legal strategy against the

"have not been fulfilled, nor is there any real prospect of them being fulfilled in the short or medium term"
