Ports de la Generalitat completed work on January 30 to restore the green beacon at the port of Cambrils, which had fallen on January 24 after enduring wind gusts of 103 km/h.

The strong winds recorded on Saturday, January 24 caused the beacon structure, located at the end of the Cambrils port dike, to detach from its anchorage. Data from the beacon's own anemometer registered wind gusts of 103 km/h. The Port Authority immediately reported the incident to Puertos del Estado, the competent body for maritime signaling.
The repair work began on January 29. This complex operation required the intervention of a 300-ton crane, located in the dry dock area in coordination with the Club Nàutic. The crane lifted an excavator, which was responsible for relocating the beacon structure to its original position.
Once the structure was reinstalled, the device's anchorages were reinforced. Finally, on the morning of January 30, a new lantern was installed in the beacon, and Puertos del Estado was notified that it was operational again. The structure is scheduled to be repainted in the spring of 2026, as part of planned maintenance actions.
