The Prim promenade in Reus hosted this Saturday the 49th edition of the Inter-regional Bricklayers' Competition, an event that brought together eleven pairs to pay tribute to the Gaudí Year.

The competition, organized by the Baix Camp Construction Guild as part of the Sant Antoni de Pàdua festivities, tested the participants' skills with a technical challenge inspired by the architecture of the Casa Milà, also known as the Pedrera.
Participants had to reproduce a piece incorporating catenary arches and a letter G made using the trencadís technique. According to the organizers, most of the pairs managed to complete the work within the four-hour time limit, demonstrating a high level of technical skill.
The awards ceremony was attended by the mayor of Reus, Sandra Guaita, accompanied by several municipal councilors and representatives from the construction sector, who recognized the work of the participating professionals.
