The Reus City Council expects the social housing projects in Mas Iglesias and La Riera to be completed between June and July, aiming for allocation before the end of 2024.

Mayor Sandra Guaita warned that the local administration has already done its part and urged the Generalitat to expedite the process. The goal is to ensure these buildings do not remain empty once construction is finished during the summer months.

"For many years, public housing has not been built in Reus or anywhere else, and now we all have to row very fast."
