Reus athlete Rubén Torres completes the World Marathon Majors circuit

The runner from Baix Camp achieved the feat in Tokyo, joining the elite group of Six Star Finishers.

Athlete Rubén Torres, from Reus, successfully completed the Tokyo Marathon this weekend, officially finishing the prestigious circuit of the six major marathons in the world.

With this achievement in the Japanese capital, the Physical Education teacher born in 1984 joins the exclusive group of runners who have finished New York, Chicago, Berlin, London, Boston, and Tokyo. Torres has carried the flag of Reus across every finish line, becoming one of only 900 Spaniards to reach this milestone.
In the Japanese race, the Baix Camp sportsman recorded a time of 3 hours and 17 minutes. In a day marked by excellent weather, Torres finished in 4,141st position out of nearly 39,000 runners.
His career includes over twenty marathons, including Barcelona, Valencia, and Florence. He has also completed 100km ultra-races and two Ironman competitions in Roth and Thun.
