Reus awards the excellence of the best extra virgin olive oils of 2025

The Oil Development Center recognizes the quality of mills from Tarragona, Ebro, and Penedès.

The Palau Bofarull in Reus hosted the CDO Awards 2025 this Wednesday, recognizing the superior quality of extra virgin olive oils from the Tarragona region.

Organized by the Reus City Council and the Tarragona Provincial Council, the 19th edition of these awards featured 23 olive mills from various Protected Designations of Origin (PDO).
Top honors went to Verolat de l'Ebre (Ascó) for ripe fruitiness, Cooperativa de Godall for sweet green fruitiness, and Identitat Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Horta de Sant Joan) for bitter green fruitiness.

The Mayor of Reus, Sandra Guaita, emphasized that olive oil is a key asset for local gastronomy and a driver for the regional economy, celebrating the identity and landscape of the Baix Camp area.
