The Reus City Council presented this Wednesday, March 18, the implementation of proposals made by the Children's Council regarding sexual and affective health at the Gregal Civic Center.

Mayor Sandra Guaita welcomed the 26 student representatives from 12 local schools. Councillors Enrique Martín and Pilar López detailed the actions taken in response to the children's requests, focusing on educational materials, city-wide actions, and promoting an inclusive city image.
Key initiatives include the introduction of La Ciranda pedagogical kits and the distribution of the book Superquadern d'educació sexual: Perquè créixer mola. These resources are designed to help primary school students understand puberty and bodily autonomy. Furthermore, the city will support teachers through the Coeduca't program.
The city will also host the Sex Education Film Festival and strengthen the NEXES youth counseling service. Other measures include promoting mixed-gender sports in school Olympics and launching public awareness campaigns on sexual rights and feminist urban planning.
