The city of Reus will launch this spring the new 'DRAX by Veneno' competition, an initiative by Festiveo Produccions and the Xtraperlo venue to discover and promote new talents in drag art.

The event, set to begin on April 30, will consist of four monthly galas where eight artists will compete to showcase their skills. Each session will feature two contestants, ensuring diversity of profiles such as Drag Queen, Drag King, and Drag Woman, among other related expressions.
To participate, candidates, who must be over 18 years old, will need to submit an introduction video, a lip sync performance, and three photographs illustrating their drag persona. Based on this material, the organization will conduct a preliminary selection of participants.
Each gala will include individual lip sync performances of up to six minutes, culminating in a 'lipsync for the crown' battle between the two participants. A jury, composed of a guest artist from the 'La Veneno Party', a representative from the Xtraperlo venue, and a member of the Festiveo team, will evaluate aspects such as look, makeup, hairstyling, lip sync, and stage presence.

Diversity of profiles will be ensured: Drag Queen, Drag King, Drag Woman, and other related expressions.

Each gala will be hosted by Tita Tacón. Regarding prizes, the winner of each session will receive 200 euros and the opportunity to participate in a paid show within the 'All Winners' format of the same competition, which will serve as the grand finale featuring the four winners.
