The Reus Motorcycle Show has concluded with remarkable success, reporting a motorcycle sales increase of up to 30% during 2026, primarily driven by rising fuel prices and changing mobility habits.

Dealerships at the event, held at firaReus Events, attribute this growth to consumers seeking more efficient and practical vehicles for daily commutes. The generalized increase in gasoline prices has made motorcycles a more economical alternative compared to cars, which incur higher consumption and maintenance costs.

"Motorcycle mobility is more economical."

In addition to savings, the versatility of motorcycles for short trips between towns and improved weather conditions, which extend the riding season, also contribute to their popularity. Customers are looking for vehicles with lower maintenance and consumption, and motorcycles perfectly meet this demand.

Despite current optimism, the sector expresses concern about the potential effects of the conflict in the Middle East. Dealerships warn that disruptions in Asian trade routes could increase vehicle production costs, as much of the manufacturing originates from Asia. However, no severe impacts are expected in the short to medium term.
Regarding electric motorcycles, their presence at the show was still minor, accounting for only 5% of transactions. Sellers note some consumer distrust, mainly due to the perception of lower quality in predominantly Asian products. Nevertheless, the increasing installation of solar panels in homes could gradually boost their purchase.
The eighteenth edition of the Motorcycle Show occupied 7,000 m² at firaReus Events, featuring fifty brands and a comprehensive agenda of activities, routes, and workshops. The event solidifies its role as an essential meeting point for enthusiasts and professionals in the sector, attracting a public with a clear intention to buy.
