Reus City Council has scheduled a leisure day at the municipal swimming pools for next Tuesday, July 28, aimed exclusively at people over 60.

The initiative, which will take place throughout the day starting at 11 a.m., is part of the Active and Healthy Aging Plan promoted by the Citizen Relations department. The main goal is to provide a space for social interaction and physical activity to cope with high summer temperatures.
Although access to the activity is free, the organization has established a mandatory prior registration system. Interested individuals must call 662 334 323 before July 24 to reserve their spot.
This event is part of a broader municipal program that has recorded nearly 5,000 participations in the last year. The active aging offer in Reus includes memory workshops, gymnastics, computer classes, and intergenerational activities, among others.
Reus is a member of the Age-Friendly Cities Network, an initiative promoted by the World Health Organization aimed at fostering public policies to improve the quality of life and health of older people.
