The main objective of the meeting, driven by the Ara group following a motion approved by the Baix Camp Regional Council Plenary in 2025, was to highlight the existing deficiencies in the region's roads that directly affect driver safety.
As part of the follow-up to this agreement, a previous meeting was held with the Director of Interior in Tarragona and the traffic managers of the Mossos d'Esquadra. During that meeting, it was recalled that approximately 90% of traffic accidents are caused by driver distractions.
