The cities of Tarragona and Reus are preparing to observe Good Friday, the most significant day of Holy Week, with a full agenda of religious events and processions culminating in the traditional Holy Burial.

The day will begin early in the morning with the Solemn Via Crucis. In the capital of Tarragona, this act will start at 6:15 AM from the Plaça del Rei, while in Reus, the capital of Baix Camp, it will commence at seven in the morning from the parish of Sant Joan.
Throughout the morning, Tarragona will host various religious services at the Cathedral and the church of Sant Llorenç. At 12:30 PM, the hermitage of Sant Magí will be the setting for the Sermon of the Seven Words. In the afternoon, starting at 4:00 PM, the Armats de la Sang will begin the First Collection of Mysteries, followed by the Second Collection of Mysteries at 5:30 PM.
These preparatory acts will lead the mysteries towards the Plaça del Rei, the starting point for the Holy Burial Procession, the central event of Tarragona's Holy Week, which will begin at 7:30 PM. This procession, with a tradition dating back to 1550, will see the participation of approximately 2,500 people, including the Armats de la Sang, the 13 Holy Week associations with their respective floats, the Banda Unió Musical de Tarragona, and local authorities.
In Reus, after the morning Via Crucis, the Armats de la Reial Congregació de la Puríssima Sang will perform the Roman cohort exhibition. Subsequently, at half past eleven, the Solemn Procession of the Agony will begin, followed by the Solemn Function of the Agony, featuring the Seven Words of Jesus. These events will lead to the Solemn Procession of the Three Graces, which will depart from the Prioral de Sant Pere at 2:30 PM.
The day in Reus will culminate from 8:00 PM with the Solemn Holy Burial Procession, organized by the Reial Congregació de la Sang in the city since 1557. This year, the Congregació Mariana de la Mare de Déu de Misericòrdia i Sant Lluís Gonzaga will not participate in the procession, stating that 'the situation of Reus's Holy Week is not normal'.
