This new space, which will connect Vandellòs with Cambrils, will have a length of 5,573 linear meters and an area of 61,941 square meters. The main objective is to create a safe and accessible route for non-motorized travel, excluding the old station buildings.

The contract, which will come into effect once the improvement project works between Vandellòs and PortAventura are completed, will have an initial duration of 20 years, with a possible 10-year extension. The established annual rent is 1,800 euros.

The railway line, operational since 1865, was decommissioned on January 13, 2020. Initially, agreements were to be formalized simultaneously with Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant, Mont-roig del Camp, and Cambrils, although the Mont-roig council has indicated the need for additional improvements.
