Most of these resources, over 3.4 million euros, will be allocated to investments, while nearly 892,000 euros will be dedicated to current expenses. The modification also includes contributions to the municipal company Nostreserveis, with 71,000 euros for current expenses and 110,000 euros in capital subsidies. Funding will come from reductions in investment projects, the liquid treasury surplus, and a loan operation.
Among the most notable investments are improvements to public roads and mobility, the renewal of road signage, traffic calming measures, and asphalt work on streets such as Llastres, Gil Vernet, Avenida de la Diversidad, and Carrer de les Sorts. The cycling network will also be expanded.
Additionally, urban improvement projects in CasalotRanxos and Sant Miquel will be promoted, along with the acquisition of land for the expansion of the Fisher industrial estate in Mont-roig, and the drafting of urbanization projects for La Riviera, Paradís, and Parc de Mont-roig. The expansion of the nursery school in Miami Platja and the construction or adaptation of public facilities such as the Torreó de Miami Platja and the outdoor area of the Vagó Restaurant are also planned.
In the area of municipal services, the modification will allow for improvements and maintenance in cultural, sports, educational, and social facilities, as well as the renovation of air conditioning systems, improved fire safety, the acquisition of IT equipment, and the strengthening of management systems. Actions for the elderly, youth, the educational system, cultural programming, and citizen security are also included.
Finally, resources will be allocated to tourism and economic revitalization, with the launch of the Fira ATURA, a camping and caravanning event, promotional campaigns, and actions to protect municipal heritage, such as the development of the master plan for the ruins of the Poblat de Miramar.
“"The moment does not matter, but the purpose does. The actions respond to real needs of the municipality and are planned within the government's action plan."
The point was approved with the favorable vote of the governing team, while opposition groups abstained, describing the modification as a "lack of planning" and requesting clarifications on various funded areas.
